Job Summary

The Director of Luxury Sales is a dynamic and results-oriented leader responsible for overseeing all leisure sales initiatives for an ultra-luxury property. You will drive revenue by developing and executing strategic sales plans to attract and retain high-net-worth leisure clients, travel advisors, and luxury travel consortia. You will manage and expand a portfolio of key accounts, build relationships with industry partners, and represent the resort at industry events. A strong luxury service culture and commitment to brand standards are essential to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience.

A little bit about your day

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, your day will vary, but will primarily involve the following responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Development: Develop and implement comprehensive strategic sales plans to secure new corporate and leisure accounts, while nurturing and expanding existing relationships.
  • Market Penetration: Conduct market research to identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities within the luxury travel sector.
  • Partnership Leverage: Utilize IHG Global Sales partnerships to capture incremental business and expand the property's reach.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including corporate travel managers, travel management companies, luxury travel advisors, consortia, and individual clients.
    • Execute proactive engagement strategies including sales calls, familiarization (FAM) trips, targeted sales trips, and trade show participation.
    • Manage a portfolio of assigned corporate and leisure accounts to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Sales Representation & Advocacy:
    • Act as a brand ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
    • Host site inspections and familiarization trips to showcase the property’s unique value proposition.
  • Performance Management & Reporting:
    • Deliver accurate sales activity reports, robust forecasts, and performance updates to senior management.
    • Consistently exceed revenue targets through prospecting, negotiation, and account management.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide guidance and development opportunities to leisure sales teams; monitor booking goals and performance.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Events, and Operations to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Luxury Service Excellence: Demonstrate a deep understanding of luxury service culture and uphold Regent brand standards.

What we need from you

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive sales experience in luxury hospitality, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leisure sales leadership role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, presentation, and communication.
  • Extensive experience working with high-end leisure markets, luxury travel agencies, and major luxury consortia.
  • Deep understanding of the luxury travel market, guest expectations, and 5-star service standards.
  • Ability to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
  • A polished, professional, and approachable demeanor reflective of a luxury brand.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, ambitious, and driven for sales success.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • International sales experience and cultural fluency is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What you can expect from us

The salary pay range for this role is $140,000.00 to $170,000.00. This range applies to work performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach and is eligible for bonus pay.
