Job Description

NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is currently seeking a Commercial Director to join our growing team. The Commercial Director is responsible for an assigned territory and/or portfolio of customer accounts, with high potential for development and/or a significant existing footprint of NAVBLUE products and services. This role oversees all commercial activities, including new sales, account growth through up‑selling and cross‑selling, and contract renewals. The Commercial Director leads and contributes to all selling activities—prospecting, qualifying, account planning, account development strategy, consultative selling, contract negotiation and signature, as well as handover to delivery—while abiding by NAVBLUE standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the customer’s flight operations processes, tools, and services, and prioritize their needs.
  • Maintain expertise on NAVBLUE and partner products to identify upsell opportunities and solve customer pains.
  • Build strong, wide‑scope relationships with decision makers and stay aware of issues affecting customers.
  • For strategic accounts, develop and implement strategic account plans and coordinate with the Airbus global account management team.
  • Create new opportunities based on market potential, customer requirements, and company capabilities.
  • Seek increased revenue through upselling and cross‑selling additional products, features, and services.
  • Negotiate contract renewals to enhance profitability and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Develop commercial strategies, tactics, price targets, and action plans to grow awareness and sales of NAVBLUE solutions.
  • Prepare and present clear, compelling sales presentations.
  • Negotiate terms to improve profitability and business relationships.
  • Use NAVBLUE’s CRM tools and sales process to maximize key ratios for visits and proposals.
  • Attend trade shows and user conferences as required.
  • Assist Portfolio & Program organization and Marketing with specifications, priorities, and customer liaison.
  • Coordinate with NAVBLUE internal customers to resolve invoicing, contract, and commercial issues.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Mandatory Experience

  • 10‑15 years of sales experience in SaaS within the LAC region and the Airline Flight Ops or Operations Control Centre (OCC) field.
  • Recent experience working with leading airlines in the European region.
  • Strategic or consultative selling skills.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies

  • Spanish and English language proficiency.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of airline flight operations or practical experience.
  • Understanding of airline/aviation IT and application software.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the airline industry.
  • Excellent customer relationship management, written and oral communication, and listening skills.
  • Project management and strategic account planning abilities.
  • Results‑oriented and achievement‑driven.
  • Willingness to travel substantially.
  • Strong independent and confident work style.
  • Drive and perseverance to uncover and pursue opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and maturity.
  • Hands‑on leadership and effective team player.

  • Salesforce knowledge.

Travel Required

  • Up to 60% domestic and international travel.
