Director, Strategic Finance - Corporate FP&A

Our client, a rapidly scaling technology company, is seeking a Director of FP&A to play a key role in building and evolving the company's financial planning and analysis function.

Location

Sunnyvale, CA. This role is primarily onsite with some flexibility.

Job Description

This position will partner closely with senior leadership to drive forecasting, planning, and performance insights as the organization enters its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong execution skills who can design scalable financial processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the company's long-range financial model, annual operating plan, and ongoing forecast cycles
• Lead revenue forecasting in partnership with commercial and product stakeholders
• Deliver executive-level reporting, including clear variance analysis and actionable insights
• Serve as the finance partner for G&A functions, supporting budgeting, headcount planning, and spend visibility
• Build scalable FP&A processes, planning cadences, and reporting infrastructure
• Prepare materials for executive leadership and board-level discussions
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, automation, and decision support
• Support the development of financial routines and controls suitable for a more experienced operating environment

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in corporate finance or FP&A, including leadership experience
• Strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Proven experience partnering with senior leaders across multiple business functions
• Ability to build scalable planning and reporting frameworks from the ground up
• Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into insights
