Director Project Finance, Risk

JCW is partnering with a growing international Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) that is expanding its Project Finance Risk function. As one of the bank’s core strategic platforms, the team is hiring across multiple levels within the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) to support the ongoing monitoring, review, and governance of a diverse project finance portfolio.

These roles will play a key part in strengthening the bank’s risk management framework by implementing robust policies and procedures, ensuring consistent underwriting standards, validating risk ratings, and delivering actionable insights to mitigate portfolio risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee credit risk monitoring and review across a portfolio of project finance transactions
• Assess and challenge underwriting decisions to ensure alignment with internal risk appetite
• Maintain and enhance risk frameworks, policies, and governance standards
• Ensure accurate risk rating methodologies and portfolio reporting
• Identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies, particularly within infrastructure and energy sectors

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project finance (5+ years preferred)
• Strong expertise in infrastructure and energy lending
• Demonstrated experience in credit risk management within a banking environment
• Experience in data centers and/or renewable energy is highly preferred
