About The Role
As a Valuation Manager of Fine Jewelry and Watches at TheRealReal, you will own day‑to‑day appraisals, servicing clients that visit our retail store via appointment or walk‑ins. You will price and authenticate fine jewelry and watches across our dynamic acceptance standards. As a subject‑matter expert, you will educate and build trust with consignors, customers and peers, translating market knowledge to a white‑glove client experience. You will also support occasional supply events through on‑site valuations and participate in remote pricing initiatives to assist cross‑functional teams across our organization. We’re seeking a process‑driven individual who has extraordinary attention to detail and wants to hone their expertise in fine jewelry and watches. On‑site role based in our Miami, FL store.
What You Get To Do Every Day
- Facilitate all valuation appointments, working directly with clients to provide a relaxed, consultative experience that educates them on the value of their items within our marketplace.
- Conduct real‑time valuations and authentication of fine jewelry and watches using a wide array of industry‑specific tools.
- Provide pre‑consignment pricing services to consignors and internal sales partners.
- Maintain strong understanding of pricing trends and the sell‑through velocity of fashion items by working with the Pricing and Authentication teams.
- Own the sell‑through performance and velocity of items you personally price.
- Own appointment‑to‑consignment conversion metrics, driving both client satisfaction and business results.
- Partner with the Store Manager to understand customer needs and stay current with in‑store operations and priorities.
- Support additional store and team needs as required to ensure a seamless retail experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong knowledge of fine jewelry in the primary and secondary market.
- 2‑5 years experience working in the luxury space in a customer‑facing role.
- Flexibility to work certain weekend days.
- Sales experience strongly encouraged.
- Proactive, self‑directed approach with the ability to anticipate business needs and meet internal and external deadlines.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify potential obstacles in advance and ensure smooth execution of valuation office processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple complex, time‑sensitive situations while remaining calm and composed.
- Passion for delivering a high‑touch, luxury client experience every day.
- Polished, professional presence with strong presentation skills.
- Clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- GIA credentials such as Graduate Gemologist (GG), Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP), or equivalent coursework/experience strongly preferred.

The expected salary range for this role is $65,581.10 - $93,687.00. Starting pay is determined by factors including work location, candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on the role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
