About the Team

The Decisioning Platform team builds and maintains real‑time, secure, and AI‑powered solutions for everything from customer transactions and fraud detection to credit applications across our card, lending, and banking products. Internal customers across the company rely on the platform for their decisioning needs and we have high‑impact goals set for 2026.

Responsibilities

• Lead Strategic Initiatives: Own complex, cross‑functional programs, defining execution strategies and roadmaps critical to 2026 goals, including converging legacy decisioning systems onto the new platform.
• Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with technology, product, and business partners to align efforts with Capital One’s long‑term vision and prioritize key initiatives across multiple lines of business.
• Provide Technical Leadership: Work with engineering teams and internal customers to deliver key initiatives, balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution to ensure program success.
• Build the TPM Discipline: Shape the future of the TPM function within the organization, demonstrating what a great TPM can achieve and helping build a culture of delivery excellence.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years designing and building data‑intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• 3+ years building distributed systems and highly available services with cloud computing, preferably AWS.
• 3+ years building highly scalable mobile products & platforms.
• 3+ years experience with Agile delivery.
• 3+ years delivering large and complex programs, owning business or technical vision and securing commitments.
• 3+ years building systems within a highly regulated environment.
