Responsibilities

  • Build and run Workato’s global developer community programs: launch and scale hundreds of local developer user groups, a world‑class MVP / Champions program, and university & student outreach initiatives.
  • Design and maintain the supporting systems, tooling, and analytics that power self‑service growth.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor community leaders and champions, providing resources, recognition, and incentives to sustain long‑term engagement.
  • Launch ambassador and champions programs; recognize and reward top contributors.
  • Design and execute community strategy across Discord, GitHub, Reddit, X/Twitter, and in‑person meetups.
  • Moderate online forums, surface insights, and route feedback to Product & Engineering.
  • Build relationships within the San Francisco AI community and host events and activations in our SF hub.

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Experience working in both a startup environment and a matrixed organization.
  • 5+ years building and nurturing developer communities from zero to scale.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on programmatic marketing, including segmentation, automation, and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Direct, end‑to‑end experience planning and executing in‑person and virtual events.
  • Must be local to San Francisco and willing to operate in our San Francisco office.

For California applicants, the pay for this role begins at $186,000 plus variable, benefits, perks and equity.
