Overview
University of Utah Health is seeking a new Finance Director. This leader will provide financial planning and decision support for Perioperative and Procedural care across the University of Utah health system. This position directs the human resources, customer service and financial management functions of the assigned financial management area within the organization. In support of the goals and mission of the organization, the incumbent oversees all departmental financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. This position acts as a catalyst between departments, customers, physicians and staff to ensure continuity and quality of service. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
Qualified applicants must have completed:
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related area, or equivalency.
- Six years of progressive management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master\'s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related area.

- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
- Demonstrated leadership, human relations, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to determine the appropriate staff mixes to support patient and customer needs.
- Knowledge of hospital business operations and demonstrated strategic planning skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting practices, reporting analysis, and forecasting.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation. This position involves sitting most of the time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
