Worship Associate/Music Director Broadmoor Baptist Church

SUMMARY
The Worship Associate/Music Director will provide leadership to the instrumental worship ministry, leading participants to become more fully devoted followers of Christ. The person in this role participates in worship planning, conducts band rehearsals, and leads the implementation of worship resources, arrangements, and technology, facilitating the church’s journey toward genuine, engaging worship.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Worship Service Leadership
- Direct all aspects of the instrumental side of worship ministry
- Plan and lead effective band rehearsals
- Collaborate in the planning and execution of weekly worship services
- Create and implement clicks and stems for weekend services
- Support musical worship for weekend services and other events as assigned
- Create musical arrangements, charts, lead sheets, and rehearsal demos
- Lead musical worship as needed and assigned
Team Development and Care
- Recruit and equip volunteers for service in the worship ministry
- Cultivate community among worship ministry members
- Assist in spiritual discipleship of volunteers
Administrative
- Schedule and coordinate volunteers for weekend services
- Manage musical resources and arrangements
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Demonstrate mature Christian faith and Biblical integrity
- Show proficiency as an instrumentalist and advanced music theory understanding
- Lead rehearsals and teams effectively
- Naveigate ministry software (Ableton, Planning Center, Playback, ProPresenter)
- Communicate professionally with strong relational skills
- Display relational awareness and care for others
- Plan, organize, and ensure volunteer success
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is preferred, or commensurate experience
- Proven success in similar roles
