Job Title: School Director Intern

Location: Cherry Hill East, NJ

Pay: $20.00/hour

Schedule: 40 hours/week | 12-week internship

Overview

Children of America is offering a leadership-focused internship for college students in Early Childhood Education. Interns will gain hands‑on experience in school operations, staff collaboration, curriculum oversight, and administrative tasks under the mentorship of experienced school leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily school operations and regulatory compliance
• Support curriculum implementation and classroom supervision
• Participate in leadership meetings and staff coordination
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safety standards
• Engage with families and promote COA's mission and values

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ECE or related college program (junior/senior preferred)
• Strong interest in early childhood leadership and administration
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to commit to full-time schedule with flexibility for school needs
• Completion of background checks and health screenings required
• CDA preferred; basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

Supervision & Support

Interns are closely supervised and receive structured coaching, feedback, and mentorship throughout the internship.
