Director of Special Education Services

Gainesville R-V School District is seeking a qualified Director of Special Education to provide leadership and oversight for all special education programs and services PreK-12. This position ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and supports instructional excellence for a successful district that has a well-established student-centered culture.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate special education staff and programs.
• Oversee IEP development and implementation.
• Coordinate with principals, teachers, and parents to ensure student success.
• Manage special education budgets, reporting, and compliance documentation.
• Lead professional development related to special education services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in special education or related field required.
• Missouri administrator certification (Special Education Director or appropriate endorsement) or in progress.
• Preferred minimum three years of successful experience in special education administration or coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
