Job Description
Activities Director: Oversees all athletic and non-athletic extracurricular activities. This includes developing a long-term vision for programs and ensuring alignment between Middle School and High School activities.
- Recruits, interviews, and recommends the hiring of coaches and activity sponsors. The AD is responsible for evaluating their performance using district-approved tools.
- Coordinates all event scheduling, including practice times and game dates. This involves arranging transportation for "away" events and managing the use of district facilities (gyms, fields, auditoriums).
Transportation: Develops and maintains efficient bus routes for daily morning/afternoon pickup. This includes managing "boundary" logistics and special education transportation needs.
- Oversees the maintenance, repair, and inspection of all district-owned vehicles. Ensures all buses pass the required twice-yearly state inspections. Do not need to be a mechanic, be able to coordinate appropriate repairs.
- Recruits, trains, and evaluates bus drivers, monitors, and mechanics. This includes managing CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) compliance and mandatory drug/alcohol testing programs.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a valid administrative endorsement are preferred; however, candidates currently enrolled in an approved administrative program with the ability to obtain licensure will be considered.
- Master degree preferred.
