Opportunity
The Director is responsible for day-to-day client operations and the planning, development, and implementation of policies, objectives and initiatives for acute or physician revenue cycle activities. This includes oversight of outsourced vendors, clients, and in-house functional areas of Patient Access (including Patient Scheduling, Pre-Access/Registration, Registration Admissions, and Financial Counseling), Health Information Management (including Site Medical Records management, Release of Information, Transcription), and Patient Financial Services (including Billing, Charge Master/Revenue Integrity, Insurance Follow-Up, Customer Service, Cash Posting, Denials Management, Payment Variance, and Collections). The position reviews and implements systematic approaches to maximize revenue and cash flow and to ensure results are consistently delivered. As the face of Ensemble, this person is responsible for forming and nurturing client relationships and meeting client performance expectations through influence and direction of client and Ensemble operations. The role communicates organizational values and positive leadership to all associates within the organization.

- Leadership: Maintain a continuous presence at client facilities and with internal teams to provide support, review processes, and identify opportunities.
- Revenue Cycle knowledge: Stay current with best practices and ensure high productivity and proficiency standards.
- Collaboration: Promote teamwork between facilities and centralized offices and model best practices.
- Operational leadership: Manage day-to-day operations across multiple organizations delivering diverse services.
- Education and documentation: Ensure proper documentation and educational materials are used and address educational needs.
- Regulatory awareness: Stay informed of payer requirements and industry changes and communicate impacts to leadership.
- Performance monitoring: Track KPIs and reports related to registration, denials, burdens, and other metrics; drive improvement initiatives.
- Decision making and delegation: Share authority appropriately while maintaining accountability.
- Communication: Convey information clearly and professionally; maintain executive presence.
- Project management: Oversee programs from inception through completion, including budget and resource planning.
Essential Job Functions
- Articulate client deliverables, timelines, outcomes, and actions in writing.
- Monitor bad debt and identify process improvements in areas such as registration and upfront collections; address gaps in client support.
- Build relationships, influence decisions, and engage onsite teams to drive results.
- Lead program-level meetings with stakeholders and support analysis and reporting for service line development.
- Serve as a Revenue Cycle expert, communicating payer policy, contracting, and compliance updates.
- Assist client leadership in understanding processes, metrics, tools, and reports.
- Facilitate monthly client meetings to review performance and opportunities for improvement.
Employment Qualifications
- CRCR certification
- 3-5 years of job-related experience
