About The Job
As Associate Director Field Deployment within our Corporate Functions team, you will play a vital role in optimizing field deployment strategies, driving innovation and execution across the U.S. market. You will collaborate with Business Operations & Strategy, cross‑functional partners, Business Unit leaders, and Sales to deliver operational excellence, identify efficiencies, and create data‑driven solutions. You report to the Director of Field Execution and account for Business Unit General Managers and Sales Leadership.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimization of field force architecture, including sizing, structure, and territory alignment to support brand and therapeutic area objectives.
- Own the end‑to‑end territory alignment and call planning process, designing HCP‑ and HCO‑level call plans and securing cross‑functional alignment and approvals.
- Manage the field operations calendar, ensuring seamless execution of key processes such as alignments and call plan.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Data, and IT teams to deliver integrated solutions and support key initiatives (e.g., business reviews, system enhancements, reporting).
- Maintain high data integrity and operational excellence through strong governance, proactive issue resolution, and rigorous QC/validation practices.
- Leverage data, including HCP–HCA–HCO affiliation data and industry datasets (e.g., IQVIA DDD, TRx, NRx, NBRx, claims data), to generate insights and improve field effectiveness and targeting strategies.
- Apply analytics to optimize deployment, enhance field execution, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
About You
- Undergraduate degree is required (preferably in the quantitative or computer field), MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) experience with a focus on call planning and territory alignment in multiple therapeutic areas is required. Minimum 6‑8 years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or pharma consulting is required.
- Strong understanding of modern go‑to‑market models, customer engagement processes, and KPIs, including account‑based vs. HCP selling, KAM and GPO strategies, hybrid selling, and field/home office orchestration.
- Experience with industry‑standard datasets (e.g., IQVIA DDD, 867 data, TRx, NRx, NBRx) and systems such as Veeva, Snowflake, and Power BI is preferred; stays current with emerging technologies and methodologies.
- Hands‑on experience analyzing large, complex datasets to solve business challenges using tools such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Snowflake, or Power BI.
- Exposure to AI and advanced analytics in commercial or field deployment contexts is an advantage.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Familiarity with territory alignment tools (e.g., AlignMix, or AlignStar, or Javelin, or any Salesforce‑based solutions) is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to high‑quality deliverables through rigorous QC and validation practices.
