Maintenance Director
Pay Range: $31–$33 per hour

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the physical plant, interior and exterior, to keep the property safe, clean, and comfortable.
- Demonstrate mechanical ability to work on equipment such as washers, extractors, dryers, refrigeration and heating units, ice machines, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems—wall switches, lighting, cover plates, receptacles, wiring, resident call systems, and kitchen equipment.
- Plan, order, and install cabinets for apartment remodels; perform carpentry and sheetrock repairs.
- Plan, order, and perform painting of interior and exterior—dispose of materials in compliance with EPA guidelines.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs—faucets, showers, drains.
- Conduct daily inspections of outside grounds and promptly correct any needed items to keep the property tour ready.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer two (2) years experience in building maintenance, housekeeping, electrical, plumbing, and structural work; knowledge of building construction is helpful.
- Prefer one (1) year experience supervising and managing employees.
- Able to safely operate a wide variety of equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn assisted living and dementia care.
- Able to work with seniors and interact with cognitively impaired individuals patiently.
- Flexible, adapt, respond to change, and prioritize tasks and projects in stressful situations.
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical, TB, and COVID‑19 or other communicable disease testing per regulatory guidelines.
