Overview
Director, Women’s Lung Health Center — Cleveland Clinic Respiratory Institute, Department of Pulmonary Medicine. The Director will establish and lead a multidisciplinary initiative to provide gender-specific expertise for women with pulmonary conditions, in collaboration with the Center for Specialized Women’s Health, the Department of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and other clinical institutes. The Director will facilitate research on sex and respiratory disease and educate trainees as integral parts of the Center’s mission. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with investigators in the Lerner Research Institute on gender differences in asthma biology, pulmonary vascular disease, heart disease, and related areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Women’s Lung Health Center and drive programmatic growth and innovative care delivery.
- Establish and grow a multidisciplinary initiative with gender-specific expertise and collaborate with related departments and clinical institutes.
- Support research on sex and respiratory disease and educate trainees; collaborate with the Lerner Research Institute on gender differences in asthma, pulmonary vascular disease, heart disease, and other areas.
- Mentor faculty and trainees and contribute to curriculum and clinical program development.
- Potential for faculty appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at a rank commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
- Track record of original research and ability to deliver programmatic growth and innovative care delivery.
- Commitment to diversity and excellence in the academic community.
- Experience in pulmonary medicine and women’s health is preferred.
Appointment and Benefits
The successful candidate will be nominated for a faculty appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) at a rank of Associate or Full Professor, commensurate with experience.
