Job Overview
As an Ocean Import Specialist for TQL Global, you will coordinate all aspects of ocean import shipments, communicate with stakeholders, maintain records, and ensure high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of ocean import shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient service
- Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and service providers for shipment arrangements and documentation
- Prepare and review shipping documents for accuracy and compliance
- Monitor shipment status and communicate updates to clients and stakeholders
- Work with customs brokers and authorities for smooth clearance, resolving issues as needed
- Maintain accurate records using appropriate systems
- Ensure compliance with KPIs and audit standards
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulations to identify process improvements
- Provide excellent customer service and support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field (preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience in ocean import operations within logistics or freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight documentation, customs regulations, INCO terms, and trade practices
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office; CargoWise experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to quality service
