Open Rank of Neurology - Associate Director of ADRC

Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Center for Memory & Aging (CMA) and the Department of Neurology invite applications for a new open rank, open track faculty position. The selected applicant will serve as Associate Director of the New Mexico Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (NM ADRC).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Associate Director of the NM ADRC.
• Oversee clinical research activities, including recruiting and assessing participants in two program level grants: MarkVCID ( and NM ADRC (
• Maintain an independent NIH research funding portfolio.
• Provide direct patient care in a memory and aging clinic.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Lead a large clinical research team and demonstrate strong administrative skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• MD, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent advanced degree.
• Board certified or board eligible in neurology, psychiatry, or other relevant clinical specialty.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Mexico.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in an NIH Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
• Track record of sustained NIH funding.
• Demonstrated excellence in education, training and mentoring.
• Commitment to understanding the cultures of New Mexico and supporting the University’s mission to serve local and global communities.
