
Open Rank of Neurology - Associate Director of ADRC

Position Summary
The University of New Mexico Center for Memory & Aging (CMA) and the Department of Neurology invite applications for a new open rank, open track faculty position. The selected applicant will serve as Associate Director of the New Mexico Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (NM ADRC).
Responsibilities
- Serve as Associate Director of the NM ADRC.
- Oversee clinical research activities, including recruiting and assessing participants in two program level grants: MarkVCID ( and NM ADRC (
- Maintain an independent NIH research funding portfolio.
- Provide direct patient care in a memory and aging clinic.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Lead a large clinical research team and demonstrate strong administrative skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent advanced degree.
- Board certified or board eligible in neurology, psychiatry, or other relevant clinical specialty.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Mexico.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in an NIH Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
- Track record of sustained NIH funding.
- Demonstrated excellence in education, training and mentoring.
- Commitment to understanding the cultures of New Mexico and supporting the University’s mission to serve local and global communities.
