Department: Children’s Ministry/Discipleship
Reports to: Director of Children’s Ministry
FLSA Status: Part time hourly, 10-12 hours, non-exempt

Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and supervision for our weekday early childhood ministries.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, clean, loving environment for children.
- Recruit and train all childcare staff in accordance with childcare policies and procedures.
- Oversee and maintain equipment and supplies for classrooms.
- Oversee the development of age appropriate Biblical curriculum and lesson plans.
- Manage childcare budget.
- Monitor childcare registration and coordination of children by age groups.
- Supervise and train childcare workers and other supervisors.
- Work closely with discipleship leadership as needed for childcare needs.
- Serve as a contributing member of the Children’s Ministry Team and the full BPC staff.
Required Skills and Abilities
- A heart for children’s ministry and a willingness to serve the Lord.
- Ability to adapt to last minute changes.
- Creative, able to think outside the box with a desire to keep the ministry fresh and exciting.
- Able to work in a team environment with a willingness to step in where needed.
- Computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google and the ability to learn new software as needed.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in a childcare setting
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Satisfactory background check required for all positions
Physical Requirements
- Able to communicate, both orally and in writing, in English.
- Able to stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds and engage in physical activities with children as needed to support ministry programs.
- Capacity to bend, kneel, and squat frequently to engage with children at their level.
