Job Description - Director of HIM )

Responsible for all management functions of the medical records department. Maintains an efficient and well-organized department and maintains good working relations with the medical staff, hospital personnel and committees.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Record Administration program as evidenced by (RHIT) Registered Health InformationTechnologist or (RHIA) Registered Health Information Administrator certification.
• RHIA, RHIT or CCS.
• One to two years experience as a Director of Health Information Management of a medical records department with experience in quality assurance and utilization management functions.
