The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Region Senior Corporate Relations Director . This is a remote position that has the flexibility to be based within the Western States Region with cost‑effective access to travel.
Reporting to the Western States SVP of Corporate Relations, this senior business development position is responsible for identifying, securing, cultivating, and leveraging corporate relationships with a focus on new business development to maximize sustained income. Primary responsibilities include prospecting and securing significant strategic relationships with companies, inclusive of sponsorship and executive leadership involvement; collaborating across multiple markets and stakeholders to maximize opportunities; providing expertise in guiding the full cycle sales process and coaching and influencing others toward shared goals.
We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for prospecting alongside WS markets and driving to close six‑and‑seven figure strategic relationships, developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate relations plan to produce aggressive growth in primarily unrestricted revenue with revenue goals met and exceeded on a sustainable basis.
- Leads and directly implements corporate relations new business development strategies with focused attention on account acquisition, revenue collaboration, and mission impact; establishes effective partnerships with Executive Directors and staff and volunteer leads.
- Actively collaborates and coordinates efforts with Account Management and other internal partners to optimize retention, renewal and growth opportunities.
- Provides management expertise, coaching, and monitoring of corporate sponsorships including the renewal and acquisition of partnering companies to maximize growth.
- Regularly evaluates and reports on campaign progress using applicable campaign management tools and reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Operates in accordance with the American Heart Association’s Fiscal Standard policies and all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standards.
Qualifications
- 5 years minimum of prior relevant experience with demonstrated fundraising expertise across a defined portfolio of complex offerings.
- Experience recruiting, engaging and activating executive level corporate volunteers.
- Demonstrated track record in setting and achieving aggressive goals on a sustained basis.
- Ability to influence others to action through creating a shared vision and sense of ownership and personal accountability.
- Ability to credibly establish and execute a strategic plan across functional areas and disciplines in a complex, highly dynamic environment, translating strategies to measurable goals and plans.
- Proven ability to think strategically, analyze market data, identify key trends, and participate in strategy development and execution of initiatives to achieve fundraising and operational goals.
- Ability to do daily local travel up to 50%; requires reliable transportation at all times.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected pay range will be $84,400 min to $112,500 annually. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply.
