Director of Maintenance of Enviromental Services

Prestige Care Center of Fairfield is hiring a Maintenance and Environmental Director to lead facility maintenance, safety, and environmental services for our skilled nursing and long-term care center.

This is a key leadership role for an older hospital building that was transitioned into a nursing home , so we are looking for someone with strong experience in building systems, preventive maintenance, life safety, and healthcare environmental standards.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all maintenance, repairs, utilities, life safety systems, and grounds
• Lead preventive maintenance and ensure the building remains safe, functional, and survey-ready
• Support environmental cleanliness and safety throughout the facility
• Manage vendors, contractors, inspections, and compliance records
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues that impact resident care and facility operations
• Help maintain a comfortable, clean, and secure home for our residents

What We’re Looking For

• Maintenance leadership experience, preferably in skilled nursing, long-term care, hospital, or healthcare
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building operations
• Experience with older facilities and infrastructure preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to lead by example
• Commitment to resident safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards

Compensation & Benefits

• Average salary: $72,000–$80,000 per year
• Employer-paid benefits
