Responsibilities
- Director of Government Compliance will be responsible for all Aerojet Rocketdyne government accounting and compliance activities to ensure compliance with U.S. Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit requirements.
- Overall responsibility for financial compliance matters related to CAS, FAR and DFARS and financial compliance self-governance program.
- Thorough understanding of CAS, FAR, and DFARS requirements and their impact on the business; advise the organization on policies and procedures to fulfill requirements.
- Provide regulatory guidance and training on proper accounting treatment aligned with CAS, disclosed accounting practices and policies.
- Manage relationships and liaise with business functions, DCAA, DCMA, external auditors, and consultants regarding CAS, incurred costs, forward pricing rates, business systems and other matters.
- Develop and manage a professional staff who:
- Submit annual incurred cost submissions required by FAR and negotiate final indirect rates and direct cost matters
- Handle all Cost Accounting Standards matters including Disclosure Statements, cost impact proposals for cost accounting practice changes, and negotiation of issues
- Work with other functional areas to develop, monitor, and maintain processes ensuring Contractor Business Systems remain in an approved status
- Act as the enterprise liaison for government contract audits and provide audit support as required
- Represent the segment on Corporate Government Compliance Councils
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s Degree with 15 years of prior experience; Graduate Degree with 13 years; in lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience working with the DCAA and DCMA
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Public accounting, internal audit or government contracting experience
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C., Denver, or NYC area is $144,000 - $268,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $125,500 – $233,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
