The Opportunity

Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of Structural Heart disease. We aim to lead the markets we serve by offering solutions that provide an improved benefit/risk profile compared to existing standards of care.

We are hiring a Regional Sales Director (RSD) for Structural Interventions in the Northwest region. The RSD must live in the geography of the region and travel 50‑75% of the time.

This role focuses on Abbott’s Amplatzer Congenital offering, covering atrial septal defects (ASD), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), ventricular septal defects (VSD), and patent foramen ovale (PFO).

The position ensures the assigned region meets or exceeds sales and profitability objectives. Responsibilities include formulating sales strategies for markets within the assigned geography and product lines, achieving revenue goals, working with sales representatives to identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential, and establishing and achieving sales objectives. The Regional Sales Director also manages and coaches sales representatives, clinical representatives, and other field personnel, negotiates contracts with external customers, and keeps the company informed of market dynamics and competitive activity.

  • Make decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules to achieve department objectives.
  • Develop, monitor, and appropriately adjust the annual budget for department(s).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to provide direction and monitor progress of exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff toward departmental goals, monitor costs of projects and of human and material resources within a department or unit, monitor company‑wide indicators such as market share and profitability, and monitor external environment in the area of technical or professional responsibility.
  • Able to perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in non‑compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Can develop and identify new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources within the assigned or related functions or groups, facilitate others’ participation in continuous improvement programs, investigate and solve problems that impact work processes and personnel within or across units or departments, and develop and communicate a vision for the organizational unit assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of medical devices preferred, especially in interventional cardiology.
  • Candidates with experience in Structural Heart will receive strong consideration and preference.

The base pay for this position is $113,300.00 – $226,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
