We're hiring a Technical Sales Manager to join the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor. You'll drive growth across the Southeast US , serving critical sectors including Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, High-Purity Water Systems, Aerospace, Semiconductor , and other selected industrial markets If you love blending technical knowledge with sales acumen to create real value for clients, this is your opportunity.
About the Role
In this quota-driven, field-based position, you'll own the Southeast territory: prospecting new customers, expanding existing accounts, and delivering solutions that keep high-purity gas and fluid systems operating at peak performance. You'll combine consultative selling with deep industry insight to help customers solve contamination control and cleanliness challenges.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and develop long-term relationships with new and existing customers in target industries
- Leverage your technical expertise to advise clients, overcome objections, and close deals that meet or exceed annual quotas
- Collaborate closely with the Inside Sales team and Estimators to identify, qualify, and track opportunities
- Build and execute a strategic annual regional sales plan
- Provide detailed scope of work to support accurate bids and proposals (and assist in preparing them when needed)
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and deliver client education seminars
- Travel as required for customer visits, job walks, and events (overnight stays included)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a business or technical field)
- 6–10 years of successful, quantifiable experience in quota-driven technical sales or business development
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent verbal/written communication skills (including presentations and report writing)
- Proven ability to prospect, build relationships at all levels, negotiate, and close complex service-based deals
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently and develop effective sales strategies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with CRM systems
- Willingness and ability to travel
Preferred Experience:
- Background in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Water Systems, Aerospace, or Semiconductor industries
- Familiarity with high-purity gas/fluid systems or precision cleaning/passivation services
