Sales Executive – International Freight Forwarding – East Coast or West Coast, USA

Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 base + commissions + benefits

About the Role

This Sales Executive position focuses on generating new business across either the East Coast or West Coast, supporting the company’s continued expansion in key U.S. regions. The role centers on selling international air and ocean freight solutions, working closely with internal teams to craft competitive, value‑led logistics offerings. It’s a great fit for someone with several years of freight forwarding sales experience or an inside sales professional ready to progress into a field‑facing role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and close new international freight opportunities across assigned regions.
  • Conduct customer meetings and presentations to understand supply chain needs and build tailored solutions.
  • Partner with operations, pricing, and leadership to deliver competitive and service‑focused proposals.
  • Strengthen existing client relationships to drive retention and incremental growth.
  • Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and CRM documentation accurately.
  • Represent the business at industry functions, customer visits, and market events.

Candidate Requirements

  • 3–5 years of sales or inside sales experience within international freight forwarding.
  • Strong working knowledge of air and ocean freight operations and end‑to‑end logistics processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to win new business and manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage a regional territory.
  • Must be based on either the East Coast or West Coast with the ability to travel locally.
