
Events Solutions Consultant

Position Summary
The Events Solutions Consultant (ESC) reports to the Manager of Solutions Consultants and works in a Hospitality & Conventions (HC) location. The ESC is an in‑store sales professional focused on achieving and exceeding defined sales targets, while cultivating outstanding relationships with hotel and convention center venue staff, especially within the sales and event services departments.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Represent FedEx Office (FXO) as the on‑site sales and support expert for event managers and key event participants throughout all event phases.
Demonstrate consultative behaviors to deliver friendly, polite, and expert service, ensuring professionalism, thoughtful research, consistent follow‑through, and persistence.
Attend key department meetings, site visits, planning meetings, and pre‑convention meetings at the host facility, presenting FXO’s products and services to decision makers.
Serve as FXO’s primary relationship owner for Sales and Event Services teams at the host venue, holding product/service overview presentations with leaders to promote enthusiastic advocacy for FXO.
Ensure customer and host property satisfaction throughout the entire sales process, from pre‑event to post‑event activities as defined by the HCO program.
Drive revenue at assigned HCO stores by making sales calls to nearby hotels and convention facilities, identifying and securing new revenue opportunities, delivering capabilities presentations, pre‑event selling, on‑demand support, and post‑event follow‑up.
Share leads for upcoming conventions/events across FXO network venues.
Take complex job orders, provide quotes to meeting and event planners or show managers, and follow up on bids.
Monitor the quality and timeliness of all convention/event work ordered and produced, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Initiate timely contact with future groups via email and phone calls at booking confirmation.
Review strategies, activities, and performance against goals weekly with the Supervisor; attend sales calls and host property meetings with the Manager.
Implement established marketing plans and sales strategies as assigned.
Maintain accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system data, including daily activities and account updates.
Meet or exceed activity standards established by the HCO program, supporting multiple HCO locations.
Follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adhere to Legal, HR, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Maximize the FedEx value delivered to each customer by collaborating cross‑functionally within FXO, Services, and other FedEx operating companies.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent education.
2+ years of sales and/or customer service experience.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to customer groups.
Prior Experience in the Hospitality Industry (Preferred)
Present a professional personal image.
Demonstrated presentation skills to external customers.
Proven organization and planning skills.
Proven skills and aptitude to excel in a customer‑focused, results‑driven environment.
Essential Functions

Preferred Qualifications
Sales professional with experience in customer/client development, consultation, and retention.
Experience in hotel events and branding.
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and Office 365.
Ability to work independently while forging strong relations with internal partners.
Pay Transparency This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. The actual starting pay will be determined by experience, market level, pay at the location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay Las Vegas Pay Range: $22.25/hr - $31.15/hr
