Director of Family Ministries at CrossRoads Church (Norfolk, VA) About CrossRoads Church

In the Fall of 2000, CrossRoads Church was launched on the campus of Old Dominion University with the goal of shaping the lives of college students with the gospel. Since that time, CrossRoads has expanded its ministry focus to include our community and overseas opportunities - hence our ministry motto of “Campus, Community, World.” We are a gospel-centered community of believers devoted to loving God and seeing people become fully devoted followers of Christ.

About Norfolk, VA

Norfolk is a diverse coastal city in the Hampton Roads region that offers both significant opportunities and unique challenges for gospel-centered ministry. Home to Naval Station Norfolk, the city includes a large military population that relocates frequently, creating a constant need for community-building, discipleship, and leadership development.

The city is marked by wide cultural and socioeconomic diversity, requiring leaders who can minister effectively across different backgrounds and life experiences. With institutions like Old Dominion University, EVMS and Norfolk State University, Norfolk has a strong presence of students and young professionals who are often exploring faith and purpose. While many residents have some connection to church, there is a growing need for authentic, gospel-centered community that engages both the skeptical and the spiritually curious.
