The Boutique Director leads the team in providing this exceptional experience for all clients while prioritizing meeting and exceeding the Boutiques Sales goals. The Boutique Director motivates their team to prioritize the client experience by building a trusting relationship that only grows over time.
Key Responsibilities Lead business development by creating and developing relationships through all client interactions:
Lead the development of excellent client relationships by creating and celebrating memorable moments for our clients and boutique visitors
Drive sales and care service team to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and KPI’s
Master a strong knowledge of the boutique business and assess local market opportunities to implement a proactive and effective sales strategy
Partner with Management to develop effective client strategies to ensure the development of genuine client relationships resulting in increased business opportunities
Strategize and develop networking opportunities for the boutique team
Develop and execute strategic events to enhance the client experience in and out of the boutique
Generate new clients while retaining and building existing client relationships through events, brand awareness, and relationship-based experiences
Actively developing new and innovative business ideas focusing on partnerships and leveraging relationships to elevate the experience
Achieve and exceed boutique sales targets by setting clear objectives and leading the team with effective sales strategies
Analyze business performance using various reports to propose action plans that drive target achievement
Partner with corporate partners to ensure boutique success:
Partner with Management to determine, communicate and monitor individual and team KPI’s to further success
Strategize with all Directors of the Kodak Group to effectively communicate key messages, business opportunities, and needs
Lead and delegate boutique projects to Management as needed (daily/weekly/monthly/annual inventories, audit preparation, etc.)
Lead Boutique management through controllable operating expenses: monitoring, analysis and action plan recommendations to optimize controllable expenses
Team Development and Management:
Motivate and support the Boutique staff
Identify success profiles and talent planning to define career paths and promote advancement, while monitoring and supervising Boutique team members
Develop team to go above and beyond around client development and individual sales goals
Develop product knowledge in coordination with brand support
Communicate strategic initiatives to ensure staff are aware of brand and Kodak strategies, boutique targets, and client experience best practices
Educate and inspire boutique team with brand knowledge, local/global competitive landscape, and industry news
Perform administrative and HR tasks including but not limited to commission accuracy check and overtime management
Actively recruit and maintain talent pipeline in and out of boutique
Oversee monthly staff calendars and PTO planning
Lead Boutique Management while implementing the coaching and training plan
Partner with Management the performance management process through regularly scheduled individual meetings including biannual performance review
Assess potential and propose development opportunities in partnership with Management
Lead all operational processes in partnership with corporate Operations team including: shipping and receiving, inventory, management, aftersales to minimize stock loss and increaser customer service
Operations:
Manage optimal levels of inventories and model stock in coordination with corporate team
Perform cycle and inventory counts as required by corporate team
Reduce risk of damage and ensure accurate stock counts with no losses
Partner with customer service team in corporate to receive stock in a timely manner
Provide the highest levels of customer service to support the growth of sales
Adhere to and supervise compliance of established policies and procedures, including safe keeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security, sales and record keeping procedures as well as overall store maintenance
Ensure and develop visual merchandising for the Boutique to be in line with brand expectations and advertising campaigns in partnership with Management
Problem solve and develop strategies that support the Boutique’s service, efficiency and productivity
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required
Required to have 7 to 10 years of management, especially in luxury retail or hospitality
Fine jewelry experience is a plus
Excellent understanding of the luxury client experience
Ability to multitask in a high paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills are required
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings
Additional language skills are a plus
Technical Skills / Abilities:
Must be available to work retail hours (including weekends), travel for trainings, client events, etc. as needed
Previous experience with SAP is preferred
Must be able to stand on feet all day
Personal Skills:
Strong leadership skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills are required
