Commercial Electrician – New Construction & Tenant Improvement
Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services for our clients across Southern California. We are seeking a Commercial Electrician for projects at various stages. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts, and may involve short‑term travel.
Job Type: Full‑time
Responsibilities
Install, route, and secure various types of conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT5/6, RMC, and Romex
Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues and system malfunctions
Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred)
Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred)
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman
Requirements
Minimum of four years of experience in commercial construction
Ability to commute to various jobsites throughout Southern California
Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed
Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
