Senior BIM Specialist
ArchKey Solutions is one of the nation's largest privately held specialty trade installation and integrated facility service companies. We design, build, and maintain electrical, technologies, and specialty systems. As a Senior BIM Specialist, you will provide building information modeling (BIM) services for ArchKey projects, develop constructible 3D models, and produce detailed construction documents to support field electricians with challenging electrical installations.
About the Position The Senior BIM Specialist collaborates with project managers and other internal and external team members to plan and execute each project. Your responsibilities include creating 3D models, identifying clashes, annotating drawings, preparing calculations, and coordinating with vendors and design teams. You will attend BIM coordination meetings, maintain communications with all parties, and meet project deadlines.

Day in the Life
Executes and tracks daily work plans; provides recommendations to improve standards and procedures.
Supports project managers, field personnel, estimators, and customers with technical guidance.
Produces constructible 3D model content and detailed electrical construction documents using Autodesk and other company software.
Develops conceptual designs, sketches, or value engineering ideas to support estimates.
Consults with vendors and reviews shop drawings for design accuracy and contract compliance.
Attends BIM coordination meetings, maintains appropriate communication, and makes plan changes based on feedback. Escalates cost and scheduling issues to the manager.
Gains a high level of understanding in the installation of electrical systems, the National Electrical Code, and other building codes; stays informed of new codes, materials, and practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience in BIM, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3‑4 years of BIM modeling experience.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office; experience using Evolve software is a plus.
Skill in reading, interpreting, and understanding electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications; basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code preferred.
Basic project management experience and understanding of the project life cycle.
A strong desire to learn more about electrical design and construction, with a commitment to being a dependable team player and growing with the company.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required.
