Role Description This is a part-time, on-site position located in Huntsville, AL. The Choir Teacher and Praise Band Director will be responsible for planning and leading choir and praise band rehearsals, preparing students for performances, and fostering a love for music in a faith-based educational setting. The role includes lesson planning, teaching foundational and advanced music skills, and coordinating with school leadership to align musical programs with the school's mission and vision.
Qualifications Strong skills in Lesson Planning and creating effective and engaging learning experiences Experience in Education, with the ability to design and implement music programs for varying skill levels Proficient in Communication, with a focus on clear delivery and collaboration with students, parents, and school staff Proven ability in Teaching and Training, particularly in choral and instrumental music Commitment to fostering a Christ-centered learning environment and leading students in worship Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field preferred Experience directing choirs and/or praise bands is a strong advantage Excellent organizational and time-management skills
