Job Summary The Assistant Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement is responsible for a variety of projects and broadly supports efforts across the department. Duties include strengthening relationships with alumni, students, volunteers, donors and friends through chapters, networks, affinity, and association based events and programming; alumni board meeting preparation and overall board support; event management; data research and reporting; and general assistance for the operations of the team. The Assistant Director works independently and handles multiple responsibilities, requiring strong prioritization skills to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

Work to develop the programming and overall strategy for UWG Chapters and Networks; manage chapter
etwork leaders in collaboration with the executive director and development colleagues.

Manage event planning process in collaboration with overall alumni scheduled events including planning, facilitation, and execution; calculate board giving and report to director, task force leaders, and board leadership on a quarterly basis; manage board materials necessary for meetings including agendas, reports, presentations.

Work with relevant task force leaders to execute task force initiatives in collaboration with AVP and director; reserve space for alumni board initiatives and events; research, prepare, and update reports related to alumni and constituent engagement outcomes; manage alumni@westga.edu email account; assist departments in receiving alumni data with the data integrity team; assist with event preparation for alumni traditions including reserved space, catering, facilities requests; manage UA and engagement master calendar for alumni events in conjunction with other UA leaders.

Serve as the advisor for the Student Alumni Association (SAA); manage student organization process with CSII; lead SAA executive board and coordinate board and member recruitment with campus partners; work directly with SAA board chair and ACE Director to plan and execute events and coordinate Alumni Board of Directors involvement; other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.

Required Experience:

Two years of work experience in alumni relations and/or engagement in an educational setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education:

Master's degree in an appropriate field.

Experience in public relations/marketing in the field of higher education.

Experience in higher education/university advancement; preference for a UWG alumnus.

Prior experience working with students is preferred.

Proposed Salary $57,056 to $59,339 annually, paid on a monthly basis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; discretion, attention to detail; ability to manage multiple responsibilities under changing deadlines in a fast‑paced office.

Excellent spreadsheet skills and experience with Office and Google products.
