Description A leading company is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst in Charlotte, NC for a full-time position. The role involves managing tax compliance, conducting audits, and ensuring data accuracy using advanced tax software and ERP systems. The position requires extensive experience in regional tax regulations and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee multi‑county sales and use tax compliance, including preparation and filing of returns.
Supervise reconciliation and review of sales tax liability accounts on a monthly basis.
Assist with county income and franchise tax returns and apportionment calculations.
Monitor tax software workflows to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Conduct nexus studies and manage voluntary disclosure agreements.
Serve as the primary contact for audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Conduct technical research on tax regulations and communicate findings to leadership.
Lead nexus studies and manage voluntary disclosure agreements.
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience valued.
5 years of experience in county and local tax compliance.
Strong knowledge of nexus rules and apportionment methodologies.
Hands‑on experience with advanced tax software and ERP systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
