Responsibilities
Installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle RAC 19c and above on AIX platforms.
Managing physical standby databases, performing switchover/failover activities, and troubleshooting standby issues.
Performing database performance tuning, patching, upgrades, and schema refreshes using RMAN, Data Pump, and other tools.
Configuring and managing Data Guard, Active Data Guard, Oracle ASM, and ACFS snapshot cloning technologies.
Implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions with Oracle Data Guard and ExaCC/OCI cloud services.
Developing and scripting with Shell, SQL, and PL/SQL to automate and enhance database management processes.
Monitoring database health, capacity planning, security, and compliance, including implementing Oracle security features like TDE, Data Redaction, and VPD.
Collaborating with development teams to optimize application performance and conducting SQL tuning.
Leading database migrations, upgrades, and cloud resource provisioning in OCI and ExaCC environments.
Top Requirements
8+ years of Oracle database administration experience, with at least 4 years on Oracle 19c.
5+ years managing Oracle RAC environments on AIX (version 7.x or higher), including setup and performance tuning.
2+ years working with ExaCC/OCI features such as resource provisioning, ZDM migration, observability, and security.
Proficiency in RMAN backup, restore, and recovery, with at least 2 years of experience in 19c.
Experience with Data Guard, Active Data Guard, Oracle ASM, and ACFS snapshot cloning.
Skilled in PL/SQL scripting, Shell scripting, and database performance diagnostics.
Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c and cloud database services.
Ability to troubleshoot complex data and application issues efficiently.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills in fast-paced environments.
