Job Description Blizzard Entertainment’s Story & Franchise Development team is looking for an Associate Producer to support the day‑to‑day management of our books department.
The role supports production and provides coverage that will fluctuate based on current needs.
It requires an extremely organized, process‑mindful candidate with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
The position is a hybrid role based in Irvine, CA, and is a 6‑month temporary assignment.
Responsibilities
Provide overall support to the Books Department on all projects in development.
Schedule meetings for the books team, stakeholders, and creative leaders to discuss projects.
Take concise and comprehensive notes during meetings and distribute them to internal/external stakeholders in a timely manner.
Manage deliverables and route them to stakeholders for review.
Manage administrative tasks, including submitting timecards, archiving documents, tracking project statuses, and maintaining network folders.
Step into certain producorial duties and provide coverage when producers are unavailable.
Minimum Requirements
2+ years of relevant professional experience.
Experience using Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create and maintain complex schedules.
Extremely organized and resourceful.
Persistent self‑motivation and initiative; a hardworking “can‑do” attitude is necessary.
Previous experience in the publishing industry (extra points).
Knowledge of Blizzard games, franchises, and expanded universes (extra points).
Familiarity with Jira, Shotgrid, Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign (extra points).
