Strategic Customer Group Inc. is recruiting for a Field Director, Regional and Government Accounts – Payers for the Midwest Region, covering key Commercial Payer Accounts in Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Utah, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. This is a field-based leadership role and residing in the Midwest regional coverage area is preferred.
Health Care Systems provides account management, contract management, and customer support services to key health care customers, including hospital systems, group purchasing organizations, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and government health care institutions.
Responsibilities
Lead, collaborate with, and directly manage an external team of Strategic Market Directors accountable for the JJIM portfolio across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid Payers.
Own product access and profitability within Commercial Health Plans, PBMs, and State Medicaid Accounts through coaching and guidance of direct reports.
Serve as a thought leader and expert resource for areas of expertise in the local market and across Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine therapeutic areas.
Align with internal SCG Value, Access, and Pricing and brand teams on strategies to achieve product access; counsel on contractual terms and remediation of identified deficiencies or disputes.
Develop customized business plans, strategic goals, and account plans aligned with Regional, National, and Company goals.
Communicate strategically to highlight initiatives, activities, and achievements that raise visibility of the organization.
Manage operational aspects of the teams (budget, performance, compliance) and implement workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.
Hire, develop, assess, train, and motivate team members; coach others to align with stakeholders and achieve customer-centric outcomes.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree required.
Five years of account management experience required.
Three or more years of people management experience within healthcare required, preferably in pharmaceutical, medical/surgical, or device account/sales management.
Experience leading a customer-facing team, managing multiple projects, and developing direct reports is strongly preferred.
Experience in health plans, payer contract negotiations, and contract implementation is strongly preferred.
Johnson & Johnson therapeutic area and product knowledge preferred.
Prior experience working with Directors and Senior Management preferred.
This Field Director position is field-based and covers Commercial Health Plans, PBMs, and State Medicaid Accounts and requires up to 50% travel.
Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $150,000.00 - $258,750.00
Subject to terms of respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s retirement plan and savings plan. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
