Commercial Lines Account Manager – Property & Casualty At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future. We’re seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager who will support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy.

Location:

Remote (preferred for MD, DE, PA, VA, or candidates residing in the Eastern Timezone)

Responsibilities

Support commercial insurance clients by providing timely, professional, and solutions‑oriented service

Build and maintain long‑term client relationships through consistent communication and follow‑through

Coordinate with Producers and the Commercial Sales team to support client needs and service strategy

Manage day‑to‑day servicing of commercial client accounts in accordance with agency procedures, including:

New business setup and onboarding

Renewal processing and service support

Endorsements intake, processing, and follow‑up

Cancellations and audits

Billing, financing, and payments

Certificates, Evidence of Insurance, schedules, and auto ID cards

Perform all work in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable insurance regulations

Maintain accurate documentation and records within the agency management system

Communicate with internal and external customers in a friendly, professional, and patient manner

Provide an exceptional customer experience with a focus on client retention and satisfaction

Address customer concerns promptly and elevate issues as needed to the Commercial Lines Team Leader or Producers

Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive service culture

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance experience

Active Property & Casualty insurance license

Strong customer service and relationship‑management skills

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Applied Epic or similar agency management systems

Experience working in a collaborative, team‑based insurance environment

Compensation Hourly range - $28 – $38 per hour. Compensation within this range will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

Licensure & Certifications

Active Property and Casualty license

Ability to obtain required licensure within the agreed upon timeline.
