Job Summary Support mission‑critical digital forensics and analysis efforts for the United States Air Force and DC3 by analyzing mobile applications and uncovering vulnerabilities in high‑responsibility environments.

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD with relevant experience required.

What You Will Do
Analyze electronic media to support a DoD customer, focusing on sensitive ongoing criminal investigations and operations.
Examine hard drives of computers, storage devices, cell phones, PDAs, or any electronic device that may hold evidence for court.
Perform forensic analysis of digital information, gather and handle evidence.
Conduct digital evidence preservation, forensic analysis, data recovery, tape recovery, electronic mail extraction, and database examination.
Use forensic tools and techniques to crack files and system passwords, detect steganography, and recover deleted, fragmented and corrupted data from digital media.
Observe proper evidence custody, document procedures and findings for courtroom presentation, and prepare written notes and reports.
May be required to testify in federal/Military court as an expert witness.
Required Qualifications
Minimum active Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience (degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or Software Engineering).
One or more relevant certifications (e.g., DMC, DFE, CCI, CHFI, CCE, CFCE, GCFE, GCFA, Cellebrite, XRY, Oxygen, EnCase, X‑Ways, etc.).
Pass the customer’s Mentorship Program within 4 months.
At least 4 years of experience conducting digital forensic analysis on Windows, OS X, Linux, Android, and iOS media.
Experience supporting criminal investigations.
Experience writing technical reports detailing analysis results.Experience with EnCase, FTK, X‑Ways, Axiom, Forensic Explorer, Cellebrite and other forensic tools.
Formal training in computer science or forensics.
Understanding of network protocols and networking concepts.
Knowledge of and experience with virtual environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous law enforcement experience.
Experience performing technical reviews or peer reviews.
Experience mentoring other examiners.
Experience testifying as an expert witness in criminal trials.

Expected salary range: $140,000 to $160,000. Compensation is determined by experience, technical expertise, certifications, clearance level, and alignment to mission requirements and work location.
