Position Overview The Regional Sales Manager – West will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding distribution across the Western United States. Based in the Los Angeles area, this role will manage key retail relationships, develop new business opportunities, and lead regional growth initiatives across California, Oregon, and Washington. The position focuses on building partnerships with natural and conventional grocery chains, expanding distribution networks, and accelerating growth in gas, convenience, and emerging retail channels.
Territory West Region including California, Oregon, and Washington. The position will be based in the Los Angeles area with regular travel throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Drive regional sales growth across the Western territory.
Develop and manage relationships with natural and conventional grocery chains.
Secure new distribution with regional and national distributors.
Identify and open new retail accounts across grocery, natural, gas, and convenience channels.
Manage and grow key accounts to increase distribution, shelf presence, and promotional activity.
Develop sales strategies to grow the brand in gas and convenience retail channels.
Work closely with distributor partners to increase market penetration and execution.
Execute merchandising initiatives including displays, promotions, and in-store marketing.
Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting and forecasting.
Represent the brand at regional trade shows, sales meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications
5+ years of sales experience in CPG, preferably within the snack or grocery category.
Strong experience calling on both natural and conventional grocery retailers.
Experience working with distributors and managing regional territories.
Proven track record of opening new accounts and growing key customers.
Experience selling into gas and convenience channels is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-starter with strong organizational and territory management skills.
Ability to travel throughout the West region.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
