Overview

This position will manage internships for our junior and senior students and coordinate relationships with local businesses. It will include teaching 2 business electives periods. This position will also serve as one of our Assistant Athletic Directors to include coaching and serving on administrative duty for evening sporting events. This is a ten (10) month position. Serve as coordinator for Junior and Senior internships. Research, vet, and recruit local businesses to partner with the Academy for student internship placements. Facilitate the application and interview process, aligning student career interests with appropriate professional opportunities. Maintain comprehensive records of internship hours, student progress, and workplace certifications to ensure students meet academic credit requirements. Business Electives Teacher

Teach two sections of business-related electives. Manage the full classroom workload, including grading, syllabus development, and parent-teacher communication. Provide students with a syllabus to start the year. Post weekly lesson plans by 8:00pm each Saturday evening. Enter quizzes and assessments on the testing calendar. Grade and return assignments in a timely manner - within 2 to 3 days for homework, within a week for tests, and within 2 weeks for larger assignments. Update curriculum maps on a monthly basis. Attend all Late Start Wednesday meetings. Assist with the Admissions Open House twice per year on a weekend. Teach a J-term course (HS) or help facilitate Winter JAM (MS) in early January. Assist in other areas as needed. Assistant Athletics Director

Serve as the administrative lead for evening sporting events to ensure a safe, efficient, and professional environment for guests, officials, and athletes. Help with additional tasks that keep the athletic department running as needed. Coach a sport maintaining technical excellence in your sport and maintaining commitment to excellence and unparalleled customer service that reflects Christ. Other Duties

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.
