ROLE SUMMARY The Field & Events Marketing Specialist (FMS) builds the local face of BeatBox in their field in the most relevant way and follows the BeatBox national strategies and priorities. Reporting to the Director of Field Marketing, you will build local networks including opinion leaders and essential influencers both online (social media) and offline. You will create marketing programs in the areas of our business; On Premise, Off Premise, events, and New Business opportunities that impact the heart of local consumers, leading to the successful development of the brand.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Field
Win over the 21+ consumers to bring BeatBox to life in your market!
Build a local network while infusing national strategies and philosophy in the field.
Translate national programs into successful local activation through product sampling, event partnerships, and on-premise activation
Hire, train, and staff a field marketing team of brand reps to execute on-premise activations, off-premise activations, local events, influencer/VIP support, product drops, and any additional field marketing efforts
Align with your SEM/Sales counterparts to support activations, merchandising, and sales blitzes in your area
Activate national events with other FMSs/Brand Reps in regional territories
Develop relationships with on-premise managers, off-premise managers, and wholesale sales and marketing departments
Ride-alongs with distributors to help with sales support
Ability to maintain storage facility, infrastructure, product inventory, swag, and any additional marketing materials assigned to your area
Identify event opportunities in your area that require sampling activations
Identify Beatbox influencers and partnership opportunities to support your local market
Develop social media content that could be used in local area campaigns
Events
Maintain focus on the home market while additionally co-managing events
Develop Brand Engagement Activation Team in home markets - demos/scheduling and store visits
Manage national/regional festivals from beginning to end (splitting with Jenna) utilizing a master festival checklist
Setup weekly 15-minute check-ins with the internal team 6 weeks out from the festival to ensure staying on track
On-site manager for festival (travel)
Plan and execute activations and coordinate logistics for personnel & POS
Complete festival recaps and set up post-festival call to recap with wholesaler, SEM & RD
Social/digital training with FMS team
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
There is a requirement to maintain a state sampling license to legally handle and pour alcohol at events.
Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the beverage industry, including knowledge of different types of beverages and the competitive landscape.
Marketing Strategy: Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that drive brand awareness and product sales.
Event Planning: Proficiency in planning and executing events and promotions, such as product launches, tastings, and sponsorships, to engage consumers and build brand loyalty.
Consumer Engagement: Ability to connect with consumers, gather feedback, and build relationships to enhance brand loyalty.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey marketing messages effectively to a diverse audience, including consumers, retailers, and distributors.
Presentation Skills: Confidence and proficiency in delivering presentations to both small and large groups, showcasing product features and benefits.
Sales Support: Knowledge of sales processes and the ability to collaborate with sales teams to achieve revenue targets.
Creativity: Creative thinking to develop innovative marketing ideas and campaigns that set the brand apart in a competitive market.
Budget Management: Skill in managing marketing budgets efficiently to maximize return on investment.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify and address challenges and obstacles that may arise during marketing initiatives.
Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing market conditions and consumer preferences.
Relationship Building: Strong networking and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders.
Organization: Effective organizational skills to manage multiple marketing initiatives and events simultaneously.
Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of and compliance with industry regulations, especially if working with alcoholic beverages.
Product Sampling: Experience and skill in conducting product sampling events and activities.
2 years of field marketing experience in beverage, CPG, clothing, lifestyle, or health and beauty
1 year experience in a leadership/management role to achieve a common goal or objective in a brand sampling environment motivating brand ambassadors towards success.
Success in building collaborative projects from idea to execution
Marketing communication with emphasis on building strategic partnerships
Alc beverage experience is a plus!
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel up to 40% of the time (within local markets)
