Job Title: Web and Digital Communications Coordinator Location: Dalton State College Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 297153 Dalton State College delivers a transformational education experience in a community serving more than 5,000 students through its two campuses and online programs. Summary: The Web and Digital Communications Coordinator helps shape Dalton State College\u2019s online presence and brand identity and supports the college\u2019s communications strategies by contributing content for the website, social media, newsletters, photography, and video storytelling. This position is responsible for creating, updating, and managing Dalton State\u2019s website to ensure it remains accurate, engaging, user-friendly, and reflective of the college\u2019s mission. This is an on-site position based in our Dalton, GA Campus. Responsibilities

Front-end website management — design, functionality, and content updates; ensure content is accurate, accessible, and engaging Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to keep pages current and aligned with Dalton State priorities Monitor site performance, analytics, and SEO to improve visibility and user experience Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and brand/style guidelines Provide basic training and support to website contributors and communications platforms Content Creation & Communications — write and edit web, social, and newsletter content for target audiences; capture and edit photography and video to highlight college events and stories Assist with developing news releases, website features, and marketing collateral Serve as a communications resource to faculty and staff to promote programs, events and news through compelling digital storytelling Social Media & Digital Engagement — support social media accounts with engaging posts, campaigns, and multimedia; monitor analytics to refine strategies and grow engagement Assist with event promotion and coverage through pre-event posts and live posting; photography and video Maintain a digital asset library (photos, graphics, video clips, templates) Perform other communications-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Educational Requirements Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Experience Experience writing communications content for tailored audiences Two years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent combination of education or relevant experience, preferably in higher education or a similarly complex organization Photography and videography experience Adobe Creative Suite

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong written and oral communication skills Experience planning, creating and measuring effective social media content Ability to create and tailor visual and written content for target audiences Ability to develop and assess web content in compliance with Section 508/WCAG 2.1 Ability to collaborate with and train non-technical content managers Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, project management, and presentation skills Innovative mindset, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Knowledge of Meta Business Suite or comparable social media content management systems Knowledge of Google SEO, Analytics, Tag Manager
