SUMMARY Akel Homes, an award-winning South Florida homebuilder, is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is both creative and highly organized, with a strong focus on social media content creation and digital storytelling.

This position plays a key role in shaping how our communities are presented and experienced, both online and in person, through engaging content, well-executed events, and cohesive brand messaging across all platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Content Creation

– Plan, capture, and create engaging photo and video content across communities, model homes, events, and job sites.

Content Strategy & Execution

– Assist in developing and executing content calendars across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and LinkedIn.

Video Editing & Production

– Edit short-form video content (Reels, Stories, etc.) that reflects brand standards and current social trends.

Copywriting Support

– Write captions, assist with email content, blog posts, and digital messaging aligned with brand voice.

Event Coordination

– Assist in planning and executing community events, grand openings, and promotional activations, including logistics, setup, and on-site support.

Website & Digital Updates

– Support ongoing website updates including community pages, inventory, and blog content to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Marketing Collateral Coordination

– Assist in the production and distribution of marketing materials including signage, flyers, email assets, and digital ads.

Brand Consistency

– Ensure consistency of messaging and visuals across all marketing channels and touchpoints.

Performance Awareness

– Monitor social media performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement and reach.

Problem Solving & Execution

– Take initiative to think critically, use available resources, and move projects forward with minimal direction, ensuring completion through final execution.

Trend Awareness

– Stay current on social media trends, content styles, and emerging tools to keep marketing fresh and relevant.

Additional Duties

– Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media, or content creation; experience in real estate or lifestyle industries preferred.

Strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation best practices.

Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar).

Proficiency in Canva; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to accept feedback and apply it effectively to improve work.

A problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically, work independently, and carry projects through to completion.

Strong sense of ownership and accountability over assigned tasks and projects.

Forward-thinking mindset with a passion for branding, storytelling, and digital content.

Positive, collaborative, and proactive attitude.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with website platforms (WordPress or similar CMS).

Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing strategies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires a balance of in-office work at our Palm Beach Gardens headquarters and on-site time within our communities to capture content and support marketing initiatives, including regular travel to Port St. Lucie.

Collaborative, fast-paced marketing environment requiring creativity, adaptability, and organization.

Frequent collaboration with marketing, sales, and leadership teams.

Use of standard office equipment, design software, and digital tools for daily creative production.
