Position Summary
The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre is seeking a self‑motivated individual with a creative spark, a passion for storytelling and a knack for social media. Join our Marketing Team to bring energy, ideas and marketing magic. A successful candidate will be creative, social media savvy and have excellent writing and interpersonal skills, extraordinary attention to detail, and a positive, solution‑oriented attitude. This position is part‑time, approximately 18 hours/week, which may include evenings and weekends. To apply

Under the direction of the Marketing and Sales Director, assist with all marketing content needs, including assisting with show programs, writing bios, developing social media content, including photos and videos Assist with promoting our productions, volunteer opportunities and Academy of Theatre Arts offerings, including poster canvasing Keep up to date on the most current trends in social media and marketing via social media Assist in the development of integrated social media content calendars in partnership with other team members and the Academy of Theatre Arts Coordinate social media content with Cast Ambassadors in obtaining engaging photos, videos and interviews during the rehearsal process Under the direction of the Marketing and Sales Director, assist with obtaining new Groups for Group Sales and Sponsorships, and selling program ads, including making cold calls Provide marketing and office support to other team members as needed Assist with special events and Sponsor Events Qualifications and Skill Requirements
Experience with creating captions, images and video content for social media platforms Experience in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with diverse audiences, including guest artists, staff, board members patrol, volunteers, press and the public in a professional and confidential manner Physical Requirements
Requires frequent sitting and walking as well as occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs. The physical ability to travel between the various Civic building locations is required.
