Role Summary
The Regional Credit Analyst is a junior level role working with a Senior specialist in the Region Credit team. This role will be responsible for supporting credit risk management across an assigned region, with a strong focus on high‑quality analysis, communication skills, and presentation skills. The analyst partners closely with markets, risk team members, and business teams to assess credit exposure, monitor portfolio risk, and prepare board‑ and executive‑level materials. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience in dealer or commercial credit, financial statement analysis, and broader credit topics.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in‑depth reviews of credit files, including dealers, corporates, and other credit exposures within the North America region.
Assess financial statements, cash flow, leverage, liquidity, and key credit metrics to support credit decisions.
Support credit approvals, renewals, limits, and ongoing credit reviews in accordance with policy and risk appetite.
Monitor regional credit portfolios, high lines of credit, identify emerging risks, and escalated concerns with clear recommendations.
Develop clear, concise, and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations for board‑level and senior management forums.
Translate complex credit and market risks into executive‑ready narratives and insights.
Prepare regional credit updates, portfolio trends, stress scenarios, and ad‑hoc analysis/reporting for leadership.
Partner closely with business teams to understand credit scenarios and customer needs and provide credit guidance on new transactions, structures, and evolving market conditions.
Understand credit processes and pain points of credit teams to help optimize processes as needed.
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, global rules, and expectations.
Contribute to audits, regulatory reviews, and internal risk governance processes.
Support enhancements to credit frameworks, reporting, and analytics.
Qualifications
BS/BA and 2‑4 years of relevant experience (credit analysis, credit risk, or a related risk‑management role).
Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish.
Experience with dealer or commercial credit, financial statement analysis, and credit underwriting.
Proven ability to create PowerPoint presentations with clear messaging.
Understanding of credit risk concepts, market dynamics, and portfolio risk.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Preferred
Exposure to multiple credit asset classes (corporate, dealer, wholesale, or structured credit).
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with credit systems, AI or risk tools a plus.
