Job Summary This position will assist with advising, programming, and recruitment efforts for the more than 300 students currently involved in Fraternity and Sorority Life, directly supporting the university’s goal of increased student engagement. The role focuses on consistent support, compliance monitoring, and leadership development to sustain effective operations and enhance the student experience.
Responsibilities
Council Advising & Student Support:
Serve as the primary advisor for a Fraternity and Sorority Life council. Provide coaching, coordination, and documentation support to council officers and chapter leadership.
Programming & Event Execution:
Plan, coordinate, and execute programs and signature events aligned with FSL goals. Develop timelines, logistics plans, and post‑event reports.
Intake Oversight & Risk Management:
Oversee intake procedures, ensure compliance with institutional and national guidelines, and manage risk concerns.
Assessment, Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of council operations, training, and compliance materials; support reporting and trend analysis.
Collaboration & Team Support:
Work closely with the Assistant Director and Director to align council operations with broader strategy and support cross‑council initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
One year of experience working with students or in a related educational field.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Experience with registered student organizations, fraternities/sororities, or university event planning.
Knowledge of student development theory.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Effective interpersonal communication and confidence.
Stress management and professionalism.
Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed.
Commitment to an accepting campus community.
Shift / Salary / Benefits Days; Monday‑Friday. Salary commensurate with qualifications within the established range (minimum‑midpoint). Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, optional retirement plan, vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Tuition Assistance may be available after six months of employment.

Motor vehicle reports required if the position involves driving.
