JOB DESCRIPTION:

We’re excited to add an Account Supervisor to our team, supporting a dynamic roster of housewares and lifestyle brands. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading accounts and 360° PR strategies, with a proven ability to secure meaningful, high-impact coverage, build strong media relationships, and keep momentum across accounts in a fast-paced agency environment. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, sharp, brings strong ideas to the table, understands what will resonate, can connect the dots quickly, and isn’t afraid to push for the right opportunities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

5–7+ years of experience in public relations, preferably within an agency environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred.

Strong media relationships across home, lifestyle, and relevant commerce business and trade verticals.

Proven track record of securing high-impact earned media coverage.

Fluency with PR tools and platforms (e.g., media databases, monitoring tools, distribution platforms, and trend/insights resources such as Muck Rack, Cision/PR Newswire, Critical Mention, Spate, newsletters and platforms such as Substack).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.

Experience leading and mentoring junior team members.

Strategic thinker with the ability to translate brand objectives into actionable PR programs.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Flexibility to travel as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Media Relations & Coverage

Lead proactive media outreach, consistently securing top-tier editorial coverage and driving client KPIs.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media across home, lifestyle, commerce, affiliate trade and business verticals.

Identify timely, relevant story angles tied to trends, seasonality and cultural moments driving monthly KPIs.

Drive product placements, founder features, and brand storytelling across priority media outlets.

Oversee development of press materials including factsheets, pitches and press releases.

Lead execution of media-facing moments including trade shows, desk-sides, events, press trips, media meet-ups and more.

Monitor media landscape and coverage, providing strategic recommendations to clients and the team.

Client Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.

Manage multiple accounts simultaneously with strong organization, proactive mindset and attention to detail.

Translate client objectives, industry trends and competitive landscape into strategic PR plans and Scopes of Work, while providing proactive, solutions-oriented counsel.

Adept at project management, delivering exceptional results on time and within budget and determined KPIs.

Troubleshoot challenges as they arise, while maintaining composure under pressure.

Accomplished presenter and ability to lead client calls.

Oversee reporting, ensuring accuracy and strong narrative of results to be shared with clients.

Present strategic plans and Scopes of Work.

Manage key operational elements including client calendars, exclusives, vendor coordination and contracts etc.

Ability to grow existing clients.

Strategic Planning

Develop comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns that align with client objectives, budgets and target audience.

Adept at leading and drafting plans, Scope of Work and other client proposals.

Collaborate with internal teams for brainstorms to integrate PR initiatives with other marketing efforts for maximum impact.

Conduct research and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for media coverage and brand visibility, providing actionable insights to clients.

Identify brand ambassadors for targeted campaigns and events, manage and vet partnership details.

Manage timelines and resources to ensure successful execution of client campaigns.

Manage budgets and support financial tracking across accounts.

Team Leadership

Lead, manage and mentor account teams (2-3 team members), providing daily guidance, motivation, feedback and support to foster professional growth.

Delegate tasks effectively, managing workloads and ensuring that team members are aligned on priorities, timelines and deliverables.

Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and creativity.

Conduct performance reviews and support team growth.

Content Development

Create compelling press releases, pitches and other written materials that effectively communicate client messages.

Collaborate with creative teams to develop engaging multimedia content, including photos and videos.

Ensure all content aligns with client branding and messaging guidelines.

New Business

Support new business efforts, including RFP responses, proposal development, and participation in brainstorms and prospective client conversations.
