About the Role
Fixed Income Trader. Execute orders for portfolio managers across the Agency MBS book, including TBA, specified pools, CMOs and Agency derivatives. Provide support in other structured products. Located in Boston. Must collaborate with portfolio managers, research analysts and brokers.
Responsibilities
Executing orders consistent with best execution and risk management practices.
Developing deep understanding of investment philosophies and strategies of portfolio managers, strategists, and analysts.
Gathering, analyzing, and disseminating market and security information to identify actionable investment opportunities.
Soliciting trade interest from portfolio managers and locating external supply/identifying internal demand for liquidity opportunities.
Remaining informed of new product developments.
Fostering new trading relationships and leveraging existing ones.
Monitoring and improving efficiency while mitigating risk.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience trading Agency MBS; experience with a wide array of instruments within the MBS universe and understanding of structured products is welcome.
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast‑paced dynamic environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail, precision and risk‑management mindset.
Strong analytical skills and ability to apply them practically.
Proactive idea generation and continuous process improvement.
Impeccable integrity, fiduciary mindset, and consistently prioritize client interests.
Pro‑technology mindset; ability to leverage technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Programming skills are additive.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team‑based results‑oriented environment.
Strong academic credentials; Bachelor’s degree required, MBA/CFA or progress toward is additive.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: USD 90,000 - 180,000. Base salary is only one component of total compensation. Other rewards may include a discretionary corporate bonus and/or incentives, if eligible.
