Brookfield Credit manages approximately $332 billion of assets globally, focusing on a broad range of private credit investment strategies, including infrastructure and renewable credit, real estate, asset-backed, and corporate credit. Position Overview
The MLS team oversees all aspects of middle- and back-office operations for mortgage loans, including loan closing and onboarding, collateral management, transaction processing, and reconciliations. The team also assists insurance clients with statutory and GAAP accounting and reporting requirements for their mortgage and real estate portfolios. The Vice President will lead projects that support organizational growth, such as integrating acquired real-estate credit portfolios onto the platform, and collaborate with the Real Estate Portfolio Management team in onboarding complex loans and structures while supporting day-to-day operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead multiple projects, including integration of acquired real-estate credit loan portfolios into the MLS platform. Evaluate and update control documentation for mortgage loan processes. Work closely with Real Estate Credit Portfolio Management, Investment, and Legal teams to onboard mortgage loans and related investment structures, ensuring accurate build in the MLS system. Assist in managing, coordinating, and monitoring the timely collection of all due diligence for the closing process and ongoing life-cycle activity. Ensure timely recording of data to facilitate regulatory requirements. Create and evaluate reports for distribution to Senior Management, Underwriters, Investment departments, and rating agencies. Support the real-estate investment valuation process, including preparing data sets as required. Collaborate with IT to develop, automate, and maintain reports. Perform other related work as needed. Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance), CFA or CPA preferable. Minimum 10 years of overall work experience, including direct experience leading middle- and back-office mortgage loan servicing functions. Direct experience serving insurance clients or in an insurance business’s middle- and back-office. Strong project management capabilities and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and functional areas. Strong proficiency in Precision LM; familiarity with tools such as Aladdin, Clearwater, or similar is an asset. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to support the team. Proven ability to work in dynamic, complex, and fast-paced environments, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines. Compensation
Base Salary: $180,000 - $250,000 per year. Compensation consists of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation varies by geography to reflect local market conditions and is set to be market competitive.
